Development

Initially founded as a retailer of Consumer Credit Information, the company needed a means to accept credit cards automatically and in real time over the Internet, and to electronically deliver its credit card database upon successful completion of the transactions. Since no complete solutions were available at that time, the company planned, developed, and implemented its premier e-commerce gateway product, the Internet Point of Sale System (iPOSS). Realizing the global need for such a product, iPOSS was transformed into a scalable solution to support the needs of thousands of Internet merchants seeking e-commerce solutions. In March 1995, iPOSS accepted its first credit card transaction in real time and electronically delivered e-NetChina's credit card database. In August of 1995 the iPOSS solution was made available to service other Internet Merchants' transaction needs. Since that time e-NetChina has processed millions of transactions for thousands of merchants through iPOSS.
